Design and Print

Client::Bombshell Boutique

This was a promotional flyer design. I liked the cluttered location and wanted to embelish the image with color and grunge. Aside from some slight re-touching and the removal of an electric outlet that really bugged me, this was mainly and excercise in adding subtle textured to what was already a very nice image.

Client::Bombshell Boutique

This was developed as a projected background for a show that the client was in. They a branding logo for their {down with fashion} clothing line and the challenge was to capture the femininity of the clothing line yet convey the counter culture mentality of the Bombshell Boutique brand in general. I thought the old school bombshell would be a nice touch for incorporating some brand recognition back to the overall label.

Client::Center of Life Non-Profit

The client provided me with a bunch of digital images and not much else for the design and layout for this CD. I was brought in at the last minute when the original designer had to back out. I got the idea for the "scrapbook" look from the "C.O.L." logo which the previous designer had provided. The photos spanned a couple of years in the process of making this record and I wanted to capture the feeling of looking back over time and remembering the journey.

Client::The Rockstar Collective

Flyer design for what was supposed to be an ongoing monthly music showcase at the Rex Theatre in Pittsburgh, PA. For the inagural event, the band wanted a flyer that created the feeling of an event more than just a concert for them. While they wanted to present themselves as the main selling point for the evening, the concept of the event was to create a sense of community amongst local musicians and performing artists. The band broke up right after this show.

Client::Center of Life Non-Profit

This was another CD design for Center of Life, a non-profit organization based out of Hazelwood, PA.

The K.R.U.N.K. Movement is a public health intitiative between Center of Life, the University of Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh Public schools. This project was particularly special for me. I had been involved and working with the students from the beginning and it was very exciting to finally be releasing this CD. Through the language of hip hop, students wrote and performed messages of positive mental and physical well being. I wanted to create a clean stark look that didn't get in the way of what the young men and women of this program achieved.

Each student involved in the program graduated and went on to college. Many discovered potential career paths in music, performing arts and audio engineering.
